Kodokan Judo.
Explained by someone who asks way too many questions.
Learn the mechanics behind throws, the history behind techniques, and why half the internet is wrong about judo.

Why I started asking "why"
I realized years ago that most people could show a throw...
...but very few could explain it.
I became obsessed with understanding the mechanics behind Kodokan Judo—not because I wanted to win arguments, but because I wanted to teach it better.
At Seijuku Dan Judo, we don’t just do the techniques. We ask “WHY” they work, and delve deep to understand the one thing that makes a move work.
It’s more than remembering a technique for a test- it’s grasping the fundamentals and applying them no matter what the situation.
Competitions. Self Defense. Different rule sets, different circumstance. Judo should be taught in a way that works, no matter what.
Somewhere along the way I also discovered that judo people are unintentionally hilarious.
So now I make videos explaining serious concepts...
...and occasionally put ridiculous jokes on T-shirts.
